The two day event is finally over, and finally I’m picked!

The declaration by Santa

My thanks to Santa
Well, even though I wished for a Desert Storm; Le Blanc (wizard) or Le Blanc (Scout), 70,000 G-points might be able to help me get them all, and I said maybe. Still, thank you Santa for granting my wish!
I tried to find the submission thread for last year’s Naughty or Nice event, but sadly was unable to access them. From what I gathered, last year’s event was chaos with overflowing entries and Santa’s random selection of selected submissions. Some also said that the winning entries were just crap, compared to what others submitted (i.e. an editted screenshot wins over a well-directed video). Hence the anger towards this event…
Yet, the staff members did wonderfully well this time round, with selection of winners based on something they did. Plus, Santa did read the discussion and feedback thread of the event, as someone did mention that it will be better if the event was held at a faster pace, what with Rembrandt getting 103 entries in total (not all won), and that the GM acting as Santa not use the event time to mingle with the players. Now that part is hard, cos Santa was paying attention to what people said and giving out pressies at the same time while using whatever gamers said as jokes leading to pressie-handing. Good, huh? The speed was well-maintained to me, so kudos to Santa!
The dirty side of the event is basically made up of some people who don’t really read the forums (the information of the Xmas event wasn’t on the main page), people who are clueless of this event (they whined about Santa being stingy and giving items to the rich people, which I will like to rebut that I am not rich) and people who boycotted the event (calling Santa names etc.). I mean, come on… you can’t really do anything with all those words? Alright I’ll correct your actions…
To those who didn’t read the forums: I guess it can only be your own fault that you didn’t check up on information of in-game events, hence leading to you missing out on the fun. Seriously people only seemed to gather information in-game and can still have the guts to ask “If I submit my entry now, do I still get my present?”. Really…
To those who were clueless about this event: They also fall in the above category, but simply stating that Santa is stingy and such when you don’t even know what’s going on the first place, seriously! There’s no oint being a sour grape you know?!
To those who boycotted the event: Now this is just plain childish. Haven’t you got anything better to do? What on earth did Santa do to infuriate the almighty you? The lag? The drop rate? The experience rate? The bugs? The management? Grow up child, can’t you see this is not the proper time to be saying all this? File a ticket if you’re pissed, why scold the GMs who’d been doing all they could to continue allowing someone like you to play the game? Be happy that someone is actually there to try to solve the problems, or is it that you will only learn when the game shuts down? I really hope it doesn’t, cos I’m going to shove it in your face and see your reaction.
No, I am not being a keyboard hero here. All the complaints of the game and its services and other what-nots are simply petty nonsense. IAHGames is new to being the distributor of the game, so please, they aren’t equipped with loads of spanky gadgets to keep the servers up (unlike other countries you compare them to, like say Japan) and they might not have the large number of staff members to actively go around the New World banning botters (unlike K2 Networks, a company based in the United States of America).
So please, can all of you stop your badmouthing of IAHGames and live with it! I didn’t get my quest bug solved the way I wanted it to be, but what did I do instead? Asked a trustworthy friend of mine who also plays GE to help me finish it, not on one occasion but twice in fact! You can’t get what you want in your life, so what? Life’s unfair, so just bear with the unfairness and LIVE.
Should there be any staff members of Infocomm Asia Holdings Games read this blog post, I fully claim all responsibility, should there be a decision to punish me for my words.
Who would’ve guessed that a blog post to congratulate IAHGames on a successful event could turn out to be this nasty…
